Dash work on the Edsel

With the Miata for Redhead Racing painted, the Edsel can and is slide back into position for work to be done. Even though the heat and humidty damn near killed him, Dad managed to climb in and start tearing the dash out for refurbishing. He pissed and moaned but he didn't have to like it. He just had to do it.

If you notice the floor shifter in the picture it is a addition Uncle Everett built himself. The touch-shift on the steering column took a dump on him at one point. So instead of deal with that he decided to do a little custom work. It is a neat little setup he designed and built. Dad hopes to leave it in there, since it was something Everett put into the car.

If you want to get the teletouch (the steering wheel shifting) on the Edsel fixed, I can direct you to someone that can help.

I was at the IEC (International Edsel Club) rally in Oconomowoc, WI a couple weeks ago. Were you there?

We headed off after to do some vacationing in WI afterwards, and drove right through your town. Too bad I hadn't found your blog before then, I would have liked to stop by and seen how yours is coming along.

No, I didn't get a chance to go down for the Edsel meet. Family obligations.

If you could send me info on the teletouch repairer that would be great.

Sorry to have missed you, you weren't by chance driving a 58 Edsel Pacer 4 door, white, blue tail section. If so, I snapped a pic of it at the Denny's in Madison :)
